The friendly reception staff truly made us feel welcome, and the surprisingly comfortable room, complete with a powerful shower, provided a restful retreat after a day of exploring. We enjoyed the luxury of free parking, which was a real blessing given the city's layout. One highlight was the hotel's location; it served as an excellent base for discovering the picturesque surroundings of Utrecht province. We capped our evenings with drinks from the bar, while the nearby restaurants energized our culinary adventures. The allure of local specialties like Dutch kroketten and apple strudel only added to our experience. While the hotel's amenities were basic, it offered all we needed and provided a perfect launching pad for cultural exploration, making it a recommendation for anyone visiting Amersfoort!
